About Us
Established in 1982 by the Yates Seeds Group as a vegetable seedling nursery, Narromine Transplants commenced the production of forestry seedlings in 1992, following a management buyout of the Yates operation.
Since then the nursery has converted to pure forestry, and has expanded to become one of the largest containerised tree seedling growers in Australia, on a site consisting of over 61 hectares, with the capacity to supply 18 million tree seedlings annually.
Narromine Transplants is also a leader in clonal forestry for temperate and sub-tropical regions, producing selected single species and hybrid Eucalypts from cuttings.
The workforce of the combined seedling and clonal operation involves 14 full time staff and as many as 35 casual staff, during the peak of the season. The original manager, David Cliffe and his family now wholly own the nursery.
Narromine Transplants is accredited under the Nursery and Garden Industry Australia's Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme Australia (NIASA). This accreditation is our clients' guarantee of best practice in crop management, crop hygiene, water management and general site maintenance.
